RULES OF THE KLASH
While there aren’t a ton of rulings that need to be made during Kong Klash Events, we do have a few. These rules will be read 30 minutes prior to the first ‘coin drop.’
- Definition of ‘a Game’
- Friday: 1 play on a Donkey Kong Machine, rotate. | Saturday: 3 plays on a Donkey Kong Machine, rotate.
- All machines will be assigned to the player on the 1st Start. They will then be assigned to another machine during rotation. Players and machines are assigned at random.
- Player’s gameplay is ‘on your honor.’
- Consequences:
- Verbal Warning | Disqualified from Tournament
- Consequences:
- Players will provide their score to the tournament team for posting. (i.e. take a picture, call team member over, etc.) and receive new machine number for their next game.
- If a player’s game ends after the last start time, they cannot begin another game.
- Friday: 11pm | Saturday: 10pm
- If a player’s game ends after the last start time, they cannot begin another game.
- Chairs/Stools are not guaranteed. Players can bring their own.
- No sandbagging.
- No profanity.
- No personal control panels.
- No bad sportsmanship.
- No inappropriate behavior that is becoming of a Kong player.
- No outside streaming equipment. The tournament team will capture each game.
- All decisions are made final by Daniel Solis (judge for the tournament).
FLUKE OR LUCK?
We get it, sometimes you have a good day in the arcade and get an abnormally high score! But…can you do it 2 more times? If, as a Beginner Division Competitor, you consistently score three scores that are higher than 199,900, you will be required to advance into the Intermediate Division!
If you do happen to break that cap once during the competition as a beginner, you may move to intermediate by choice. However, if you break the score cap in Intermediate once, you will be required to move up the division ladder.
Once you break a division cap once, it’s only a matter of time before you do it again!
